We test newborns to screen for serious treatable diseases most of which are genetic. These include: maple syrup urine disease (MSUD), homocystinuria, biotinidase deficiency, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, MCAD, tyrosinemia, cystic fibrosis, and toxoplasmosis.
