  • ”NICE Guidelines for Stroke in Oman”-Royal College of Physicians , London . Participated /contributed in establishment/publication of guidelines for the first time, in the Middle East.
  • Epilepsy genetic studies in collaboration with Sickkids hospital , Toronto, Canada –identified for the first time new genes for Progressive Myoclonus Epilepsy in Omani population.
  • International collaborative studies with Dr .Thomas Sander (Gene Mapping Centre , Max Delbruck Centrum, Germany) - new genes for Paroxysmal nonkinesigenic dystonic choreathetosis and Hypokalemic periodic paralysis were discovered for the first time in Omani population.
  • Delivered Presidential oration : “Refractory epilepsy “ at Oman Medical college.
